Summer Reading

With the big move and all of its stress-ors finally over, and our lives getting back into some semblance of order it is time to pick and chose what we want to do to enjoy Summer 2010.

I have always been a big bookworm, enjoying fantasy-based-genres, books written by Anne Rice being my main enjoyment; also enjoying the books in the series for the Warcraft universe written by Richard A. Knaak. I used to spend a lot of my free time reading and although I am incredibly picky and choose-y with my literature I definitely have missed sitting down to a good book.

Indeed, I have downloaded all of the books written by Richard. A. Knaak, and others, in the Warcraft universe, as well as all the books about Diablo and Starcraft (though, I’m not actually interested in either of those, they just were included in the torrent); I just haven’t seemed to find the urge to sit down and read them. Time has come to pass now and left me in a place of wishing I had an alternative to what I normally do for entertainment and I finally decided I really would like to get back into my old bookworm habits.

So hopefully sometime this week I’ll head up to Powell’s and buy a book or two in the series I am desperately anticipating reading after watching the television spin off of it, “Legend of the Seeker”. The books in the series (all eleven of them) are individually titled but fall into the bigger picture “Sword of Truth” by Terry Goodkind . I want to read his entire series and I certainly, already, am licking my lips in anticipation over his newest novel announced for early 2011.

I’m also going to finally work on reading all of my Warcraft based books as time permits and enjoy some more bicycling when I’m not holed up in my cozy bed.
